Open Door located in Saint Stephen's Anglican Church.

This is where I feel called to come help serve the homeless and poor of Montreal. The Open Door, a day shelter and drop in center, is run by Emmaus Anglican Church. It has only 1 1/2 paid staff members and they have been known to serve nearly a hundred people a day. An average of 7 to 20 people volunteer on a daily basis at Open Door.

Here are my new friends I had the pleasure of volunteering for at the Open Door, Caleb Clark the director (with the "Hammer of Discipline") aka Frodo, Brennan (sitting down) and Marie-Eve who is the work-study that is a great resource. With your help I look forward to working with them again.

Here is Jason (in the red shirt) who I was able to help get into a detox and rehab program outside of Montreal. I am here with Brennan and her husband David, Marie-Eve taking the picture who assisted me through the maze of  medical and social services there in Montreal. The process is pretty similar to the ones state side where I live but everything in Montreal is in French. I now know what it feels l to be the minority by only speaking "American English" aka Anglophone.
